Yeah it fit right in, but best was that it comes with very close matching heavy metal knobs. There's also a front face protector that looks like old radio numbers. Haven't put that on yet.

Got the stereo in finally. Had to run new speaker wiring because the original had a common ground and I guess new stereos can't have that. It's pretty nice...Aux, USB, BT and AM/FM. Pretty sweet cruising with tunes, Old Aerosmith and Who turned up sure brings back memories while driving the Torino around!

I took off the dash pad off because when I replaced it about a year ago, I saw there was a connection that wasn't plugged in and I connected it thinking "Oh that's why my clock didn't work" well it wasn't the clock...it was the damn seat buzzer! I didn't find that out until I had it all back together and put it in gear the first time! It bugged the heck out of me for a year now every time I wanted to move the car out of the garage etc.

It was good having it off anyway, made access to the radio easy.

Apart...

Clock out made for easy access from top too.

Done!!!

Couple of recent shots. The GTB in for a checkup and at a Car Show last month.
Over the holiday break I'm going to install a stereo finally. I'm getting tired of using an Ipod with earbuds while driving.

Got a little break from the heat today when some clouds rolled in. I took the opportunity to drive over to a set of Townhouses in Tempe that were built by the same Developer that built the ones over in Glendale where I grew up. Best thing is these are only 2 miles from my house the others are like a 50 mile round trip!
Felt like "bazarro world" in that the setting was familiar to me, yet it wasn't.

At the Car Show today. My Torino and Kathy's (Amy's Sister) 1975 Firebird Formula 400.
The show was a Cruise Event at Wild Horse Pass (Firebird Raceway in Phoenix)

In line waiting our turn. Picture taken from Kathy's Firebird

We got to drive down the track, but not race...Funny 70 mph seems faster than it looks on the strip! lol
