Hello Forum....are front, bucket seats from a mustang fittable in a Torino? Are Ford seats from the same period readily interchangeable?

A friend has a 73 GTS car with no front bucket seats.......any ideas of what to use?

Do salvage yards have this type of stuff?? Thanks....

72 - 79 Mid-size Ford and Mercury would be a bolt-in solution.  That includes 72-76 Torino and Montego, 77-79 Tbird, Ranchero, Cougar, and LTDII, and 74-76 Elite and Cougar.

If you have the tracks, you can modify most any bucket seats to fit on the original tracks.

yeah like jeff said ^^^ i think the seats are similar but the tracks are different.
my car had some IDK what 90's ford seats mounted poorly in my car when i got it i removed them and used 1990 corvette power seats in there now Big smile surprisingly the front holes lined up perfectly with the torino studs Shocked but they are longer so i welded bolts to the pan for the rear Thumbs Up

You need two sets of seat tracks for a 72-79 intermediate. You can compare the holes in the brackets to the seat to see if they are spaced correctly front to back. side-to-side can be compared to the holes in the floor.
