Good evening from Denmark😃
I’m trying to find a pair of GT door panels for my 72 Ranchero to complete the build with the look I want. Love those door panels! But I can’t find them here in Denmark/Europe. Does anyone in here have a pair of these or know where they can be found? That would be wonderful!
Thanks so far and have a nice weekend!

Best regards Daniel

Hi Daniel, those are scarce, and eBay seems to be a good gauge for how many might be available at any moment. There usually is one or more when you look, but the condition has dropped a bunch in the last few years.

The plastic can be painted, but you need a panel that is relatively solid structurally. You don't want one that is cracked badly or with pieces missing. The insert in the middle can be refurbished I believe, and you might expect to have to pay for that. The arm rests should still be available, keep an eye on those can buy them when you are sure of the color and need. The top edge and rubber glass "felts" which wipe the glass are the most fragile pieces, concentrate on those too for a restoration.

Hi and thanks a lot for all the good advices, I really appreciate you for taking your time to answer like that! I will keep that in mind! So far I have found two pairs in good condition that I will buy and get shipped to Denmark. They look decent and one of the pairs don’t have cracks or anything else, looks amazing! As for the center section, I was actually thinking about making my own plate in a style that matches the rest of the interior. So I actually just need some good arm rests.
I have already bought the window felt kit, I was lucky to get a set with the chrome trim on. 😃
Now I will try to hunt down some parts to convert it to power windows. I have the right harness and contact, both door mechanism with power motors and the right door glass with the arch in the bottom. Just need the left harness and door glass 😃

Repro armrests are readily available in black from Ecklers…pretty decent quality and fit well…depending on your interior colour you’ll just have to paint them to match…

Thanks for the tip! Is Ecklers up and working? I can’t really get in on the site 😬
