Hi forum. I havent seen much info on the web about the ‘special’ calipers on the 72 cars.
I have the calipers of the car and will clean and refurb the seals and dust caps. I have not seen calipers quite like them. They have a huge integrated mounting ‘bar’ going over the caliper. I found only one utube video about them. I have definitely not found any new/refurbed calipers on the ‘net. I even bought a (wrong) set (long time ago) before even checking what the originals actually looked like. Please post pictures. I will try to snap a few pictures also. |

There is nothing special about the 1972 Torino calipers. They were used on lots of other Fords between 1972 and 1979, intermediate and fullsize cars, Ford, Mercury and Lincoln. Check RockAuto, there are numerous options for remanufacured calipers. Or rebuild them, the pistons and seals are also available. |
