Like to know what they have for windshield wipers after cutting the firewall. Cool build for sure, but why cut the firewall to install a 5.0, when my bigger than that 472 fits without cutting a damn thing.

That's very nice, well done all around. I built a 347 for my 92 Lincoln and now wish I had waited, the Coyote 5.0 and 6R80 transmission are super for swaps into older cars. If I live long enough, maybe I'll get tired of one combination, and do it again.

I think that 5.0 engine with the blower on top, and the cross member under it for the Mustang II suspension, pushed the blower up into the hood. I'd have left the blower out, the 460hp stock 5.0 would be plenty for most people.

I just got the magazine in the mail last week.  According to the article the guy wanted to keep the stock hood.  The owner wanted to keep the stock hood and had clearance issues with the supercharged.  He said the only way he could get hood clearance was to mount the engine way back in the engine bay.

I would be interested to see what he did for suspension mods. Too bad there aren't pics of his setup.

Vince, look at the link above. There are a few pictures there, and they show the suspension. He cut out the frame where the cross member was, and made a new one that fits a suspension kit using Mustang II parts. So it's got the late 70's Mustang suspension, and 93 Cobra R brakes, rotors and calipers. Those evidently have a bracket to let them bolt to the Mustang II spindles.

It is a well done car.

Thanks Don.  I fixed the second link and I see the details on the front suspension now.  According to the second site, it's an Ultraride kit:

Was the frame snout cut off, fresh metal added, and then welded back on with the MII crossmember installed, or is there tubing under the old spring pockets?

I have a Coyote in my '13 Mustang. My goodness, what a wonderful engine. My opinion is that it's a little soft on torque in the low end. With that being said; my Mustang weighs 3760 lbs with my fat ass in it. My Torino weighs 3880 (major weight crash done on my car). Gears would resolve that difference.

Mine will break the rear tires (255/50-18) loose in first gear when it hits 4000 rpm. It redlines at 7200 rpm. It dyno's 430 hp, 418 lb ft on the rear wheels and it's normally aspirated. Y'all can guess that it ain't exactly stock ;) . I love my Cleveland, but that Coyote is badass.

Kind of funny that my daily driver is .3 quicker in the 1/4 than my stroker HotRod.

Nice Torino. I have a coyote in a 2012 Brembo Mustang. I was thinking about doing the coyote swap on my Torino as well, but I personally would have used a Paxton 2200SL supercharger for the hood clearance. The coyote is a great engine, and supercharged with billet oil pump gears, they will handle some serious horsepower. I wonder what type of fab work would be needed to get the correct motor mounts on an existing frame without having the entire crossmember replaced.

I seem to recall that there might be a front-sump pan out there somewhere for the Coyote if that helps.
