What are the odds of finding rust free front inner fenderwells for these cars ? Or would there be a chance of getting patches cut out of a rust free part because of the labor involved in actually removing and shipping an entire inner fender ?!?!
The an arm dust flaps must hold moisture / snow/ salt  on these midwestern cars as there isn’t much left of mine in those areas both left and right . Anybody have a lead or source for some
patch panels , or whole inner fenders ?
Appreciate your time !

Almost all of the 1972-1979 mid sized Fords have inner fenders that can swap with yours. So there are a lot of choices to look for. I think the only differences will be minor small hole locations etc. You can get the splash shields from main parts sources, plus the clips.

I purchased new fender splash guards from Detroit Muscle Technologies.

They fit my Gran Torino perfectly and came with new clips.

Thanks,
Chris

Yes I purchased the splash guards from them too . Problem is there isn’t any steel left where they are supposed to mount , hence the need for steel patches , or full inner fenderwells .
I’m going to have the motor out in a year or so , so will tackle that fabrication or fix when I can stand in the engine compartment with an unobstructed view of it all !!

I purchased two wheel houses from Desert Valley Auto Parts, they had a lot of surface rust but we're solid otherwise. Not sure where you are at but you could check with them on a price and see if shipping cost would be prohibitive or not.

Wonder if the inner fender can be removed and replaced without doing anything to the fender itself ( loosening) ?
I replaced the inner fenders on my 69 Chevelle without touching the actual fender , but that’s a completely different animal
