Anyone have or know where to get the correct shifter ball for a 72 with a manual trans? Just received one from autokrafters and of course it is to small a opening to screw on my stock hurst shifter rod.

The thread is 7/16-20 for the stock shifter. I’ve seen a couple come and go on eBay, sometimes as a unit with the shifter and sometimes just the knob. There’s currently a stock pinto knob on eBay. Not sure if it’s the same.
I ordered a white one from these guys.

Yes. I like that also. Had that in my 70 torino cobras. Not correct for 72. Just didnt think it would look right. But you never know till you try.

I have a black one that is pretty well worn and want to dig the grooves deeper with a dremel and lay some white paint in it then try polishing it. Going to chuck it in my drill press to do it.

T handles were factory on 70-71. Never saw or heard of a 72 having them from factory. Doesn’t mean it was not possible.
