Hi
Does anyone know if a 72 Torino came factory with one or two horns? I would think two but mine has one and I dont see where a second would have mounted.
Thanks

the wiring would be a give-away, dual horns may have been an option?

I think I had a second horn wire, but I only had one horn actually mounted in the car when I got it, which didn't work. I ended up putting in a set of high and low horns off Amazon and use the horn wire to power a relay. Works great if you're OK with kind of the same sort of look but don't need 100% stock.

Mine only had one horn too. I believe you could get two horns as an option, but I'd have to dig into the parts manual to be sure.  That said when my original horn died, I swapped in dual horns I had in my parts collection for an old junk yard run.  The dual horns mount in the same spot as the single.  They both have an 'L' bracket, and fit together to use the one mounting hole. The L bracket stack on top of each other facing the opposite directions so they can use the same mounting hole. My horns had a harness with it that plugs into the original horn connector and split it into two.  So it literally require no modifications.  It sounds better than the old single tone.

High and low tone for the duals. On a single I would guess it is a low tone but it is a coin flip. My first 72 sport had two and occasionally I had to hit one or the other to fix it. In 1981 I wouldn't have paid for a Marti as gas was $.76/gal and bagging groceries was not filling my wallet. It had rear defrost so it was well optioned.
