Have a 73 gts, when i bought it, signals, hazards and brake lights didn't work. I replaced turn signal switch, now I have signal, but no brake or hazard lights. When I apply the brake pedal, I have power to the turn signal switch. Pulled out drivers seat, wires all look good. I'm stumped and looking for ideas. I did try another switch in case I got a bad switch.

The brakes and hazards aren't on the same fuse as the turn signals, so that might be something to check.

Maybe a long shot, but I chased a similar issue for hours. Turned out to be a broken terminal on the back side of the fuse block. So maybe check the backside make sure the block itself is intact and connections are clean and good.

Sorry, technically i meant it was a broken spade connector, connecting to the block.

Forgive me, but I will piggy back your question as I have just today discovered something similar with my 72 GTS.
I have just pulled 2 sockets out of each of my rear light assemblies. each housing: 3 wire socket and middle 2 wire socket. Reverse socket is intact on both housings. (I can share the sockets that I found that clip into the housing if anyone is interested.)
As I connected each socket back to the original wires they seemed to work. The driver side did blink oddly as the 3 wire bulb and the 2 wire bulb alternated.
When I connected the passenger side housing, i noticed that when I pushed the brake pedal, the driver side lit up but I lost the running lights in the passenger housing and did not get the brake light in that housing.
I also noted that the running lights are dim. One other note: the passenger side blinking works as I remember. both bulbs flashing bright to dim, not alternating as the driver is doing.

Maybe there is an answer out there for both of us...
