Does anyone have a factory brown vinyl top they can take a close up of the grain? I think aftermarket brown tops are incorrect but I need to verify before I buy. Thanks.

Don't you have a separate thread on this? or are you still trying to find the a closer view of the brown?

I did post another thread about where to find vinyl tops. I did find a good place to purchase but I just want to verify I'm getting the right grain.

What was the end result? Are the aftermarket tops the same grain?

Mustang market makes most colors in the correct grain. For some reason the brown has no grain. I've looked everywhere and all the aftermarket browns are incorrect.

I saw your post on the 1972 Torino FB group, so I pulled the photos from it to keep here on the forum as a reference since FB is terrible for finding old posts. Here is an original top: ![]() Here is the sample versus the the original style grain: ![]() |

Great idea! I will remember to do this in the future!
I will be putting a new top on in a few weeks.
