i learned at corvette shows not to tell vette people that it's a ford color! it's called orange crush, it came on some ford edge, superduty trks in the last few years,  i do have the code if you really want it.

Just a 231 with a larger bore that put out about 125 hp. 4.1L. Factory 4bbl carb/intake, and was offered in Cadillacs, Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and Pontiacs. There was also the smaller 3.2L 196 Buick V6 in the late 70's in Monzas, etc.

Hey john, what was the color code for that vette? From what I read up I think it's gw. If u want, could u post another pic of it? I'm thinkin that might look cool on my falcon, I'm always changing my mind. Lol. And was it single stage or 2 stage, probably 2 because of the flames? And which do you prefer?

thanks alex,
i may try to get some additional pics of them and post. i've had the monza since '89 paid $235.00 with a blown (up) motor, i've probably put 20k in to it total, everything is chrome, polished stainless or polished brass. swaybars, springs, tank straps all chromed. i have a wall full of trophies for that car, two are over 5' feet tall, another is one that is special to me is my 2nd place in the '93 portland roadster show(invitational only show-- took 4 years just to get accepted) won a couple with the courier back in the day, and about a dozen with the vette (most were all corvette shows) and a best paint trophy!!(it was chosen by the local fire dept.--- i think it was the flames that turned their decision  Wink)

bryan, i was cleaning out the paint booth today getting ready to paint the bro's f150 bed in a few minutes, but anyways i'll look and see if the can of paint (vette) says a lettered code but it does have the mixing code which will give you an exact color match! i'll let you know. oh btw it is base/clear 2 stage ppg (omni)

i'll snap a pic of the celica tomorrow, keep in mind it's a dailey driver and a work in progress.  as far as my 70 c10 chev p/u--- have you seen street outlaws on discovery channel? it is the exact year and color of "the farm truck" minus the crappy canopy.
