I would like everyones advise on cleaning items like hood, doors, inner fenders, fenders.. I currently get small parts hot tanked & beadblasted by my machinist.. I have not found a parts cleaner, home chemical cleaner or home steamer which even matches his hot tank..My problem is his tank is limited to items no bigger than an engine block..Does any one have suggestions..Also if you need large parts sand or media blasted use a tombstone/headstone company.. They media blast reasonable size items very cheaply.. I've had fenders done for 20.00 each |

Your best to get large parts plastic media blasted if there is no rust.otherwise sand can be used on a low pressure setting. Also soda blasting is the latest craze, but not cheap.I had my whole car done,in plastic media and sand for the frame, came out mint!76 starsky annd hutch factory car, body off resto.
