Correct Steering Wheel Color

What is the correct steering wheel color for a 1972 Gran Torino Sport?    More specifically one with a green interior.    Even more specifically, one that is being built to replicate the Gran Torino movie car. 

I feel silly asking the question, as one should be able to just look at pictures on the internet and know the truth.    

I'm hoping the answer is "Black" because I've seen steering wheels of that color for sale!

A lot of stuff comes in black and has to be dyed or painted to match the rest of the interior. I want to say the steering wheel is interior color, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
1972 Gran Torino station wagon, light blue, 351C 2V, prior owner upgraded to 4V (2V heads), originally had a C4 but prior owner changed to C6 for some reason.

It would have been black.  The steering column, wheel and the instrument panel gauge bezel were all black, even on the green interior.
