See below pics of two hinges. The brown is my car, the green is Dave's.
The hinges on my car do not have that small door stop mounted, so the doors will sway shut if not manually held open. Does anyone know if I can switch over to these hinges with stops and have no problems mounting them?

Additionally, if changing my hinges would work, is there a source online where I can find this other type of hinge? I would also be interested if anyone has these available in good condition.

Willing to do what it takes to make the switch seeing as how these doors are ridiculously heavy and I do not want to risk the danger of them closing on someone unexpectedly.

Hey Johnny,

Yeah wasn't sure which hinges were in the pic.

On mine, the top and bottom hinges look nearly identical. Neither one looks like the one on Dave's car.

Yes you can change the bottom hinges to ones with detent setup. Not sure if available new but getting a set shouldn't be hard.
