I have a 1968 GT Fastback that I am finishing up the restoration on. I am installing the glass now. There was no seal between the back quarter window and the front window glass when I bought the car. The front and rear windows have a Stainless Steel trim around them. I have looked at 100's of pictures but have not been able to see a seal in any of them. Can anyone tell me if there is a seal between the front and rear glass and if so how it adheres to the Stainless trim? There is a seal that came in my kit but there does not seem to be anyway to attach it to the glass.
Thanks Very Much!

the ‘68 and the ‘69 are different………iirc, the ‘69 has the trim/seal on the edge of the driver’s door window, and the ‘68 has the trim/seal on the edge of the quarter window. ALSO, IF I remember correctly, that if BOTH ‘windows are swapped, it’s a direct replacement. If that is done, then really all 4 should be done so they match side to side.

The '68's had a metal surround/trim (as you noted) on the side windows, the 69's did not. The seal attaches to the rear of the front driver & pass. windows. Below is a pic I pulled from the 'net and my '69 formal roof. Not sure if glued or spot welded on the 68's, but had to be glue on the 69 as no metal.
