Can anyone help me to figure out what I might have happening? We just removed the equalizer bar and I have been told that the bracket side has a large bushing, and the block side calls for the small one. When we try to put the small bushing on the block side, this inside diameter is way too small, but it fits perfectly in the equalizer bar. The large bushing fits on the block post but it's way too large for the rod. I am thinking of drilling the small bushing out to fit on the block post, but it's going to end up being really thin. Does anyone have any thoughts?

We got that done. We had to remove the brackets and realized the prior owners welded a larger stud on the one bracket, so no nylon bushing would fit.
Now we know the equalizer is in correctly, but the clutch engages backwards. We are novices, what could we have done to cause the clutch to feel like it disengages the transmission when pushing the fork towards the front of the car? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
