Does anyone know if a 72-73 Ford Torino Ranchero arm rest match a 75 Ford Ranchero GT. I have been doing some research, and it seems as though the GT model interior parts are even more rare and not compatible with models that are not GT. I would love any insight on figuring this out.

Ah darn, I got this one wrong too. I thought they went beyond 1973, to at least with the fastback body style.

The 1972-73 Gran Torino Sport and Ranchero GT used molded plastic door panels. These were only used in those two years and used unique arm rests that don't interchange with non-sport Torinos and non-GT Rancheros. Starting in 1974, they all used the same style door panels and arm rests. Your car should have the standard door panels (post pic if you want to be certain). |

This is what the armrest in the passenger side looks like. I am completely missing the one on the driver side so I do not have a picture of that. It sounds like what I’ve been looking at is correct then. The link you sent is the exact one I was looking for. Good to know they are interchangeable.
Any suggestions on if it is possible to buy arm rests and then dye them or paint them? I assume it is possible but wasn’t sure what product to use and how good it would end up looking. It’s not my first choice to do that but was wondering what my options would be if I can’t find the exact color arm rest.

I think colour choice may be limited in the repops, but you can definitely dye them. Other's on the forum might have more experience in doing that process but it is not hard. I am sure their would be YouTube videos to outline the process. |
