Acquired 1973 Torino Sport in 1997. The engine had been changed out to 1976 460.  Dash was also changed out including VIN #.  No VIN # plate on door.  VIN # on title does not match.  How do I correct before I sale?

Not sure, but Marti may be able to assist, you will need to check the site or call them to determine requirements to obtain replacements.

Good luck!

Did the door jamb VIN tag get removed, that's the main one? There should be other official VIN numbers on the car, the locations vary. The radiator support was a primary location for a VIN plate too.

there's a 'tag' under the dash cover, it's part of the firewall / cowl / windscreen rail assy. i had a dash cover from a different car along with it's vin tag installed and wouldn't luck have it .... hassled by the fuzz. my get out of jail free card was the vin stamped into the drivers door jamb

The door jamb is the main spot.  The tags Rock mentions will be a partial VIN, but there should be enough there to figure out the original VIN. Does it have the original transmission?  Some are also stamped with a partial VIN.  Some jurisdictions will provide a new VIN with the appropriate documentation so you can register and/or sell the car.
