New to site, so hello folks. I am trying to find ouy how rare a car is as I am not real familar with Torinos. I have a 67 gt-500 hundred and this torino are my only ford products. The Torino is a 70 convertible that is a J code. Bench seat, colum shift, power top, power steering and brakes, and a/m radio.  I pulled this thing out of a building years ago, belonged to a cousin who bought the car new. One odd thing is a factory drive shaft loop. Is this standard with J code cars? I am lost on this thing and would appreciate any help.

Do you mean the engine code is J ? If so you have a VERY RARE car indeed. Never seen a drive shaft loop on a Torino though. Check with Marti Auto works to see how rare your car is. Really would like to see some pics!

Thanks,David

By the way J code would be for 429CJ with Shaker, possibly 429SCJ if you have a 3:91 or 4:30 rear gear. Keep us posted.

Thanks,David

The car is a shaker hood car. I dont know the gear but it fills like an air plain gear. You can be running a hundred and the car is cranking around 3000. (Factory tach) I will post pictures if I ever figure out how.
