Does anyone have a 1972-1973 rear licence plate holder that is not broken for sale or does anyone know of any after market company that sells them and are there any aftermaket sheet metal out there.

I discovered that the fuel filler door from a 75 Elite works perfect for my 73 G.T. All I had to do was remove the trimwork since it was shot anyways, and use the framework behind the trim. Just drilled a couple of new holes in the rear valance or cowl or what ever you want to call it since the bolt patern wasn't the same, and it's made out of steel instead of plastic. It looks like it belongs there.

If you have an original, get a stainless steel piano type hinge, and just drill a couple holes and pop rivit the fold down part to the base.
I've repaired mine after seeing a guy on Ford muscle explain it. Took me a half hour of screwing around and 5 minutes to drill 6 holes and pop rivit it together.
I have a couple spares floating around, one fixed, and I know I have a steel unit off an older Torino that is pretty much the same.

like andy says, piano hinge available at the local hardware store and fix it. i fixed the one on my 72 4dr, need to do the one on the GTS but that one may be too busted up to save.
