I purchased a 70 Cyclone Spoiler. Car orignaly came with a 351C & 4 speed but now has a 429 & C6 that some butcher put in. The dipstick is a cheap chinese adjust a crap with a shaft collar & set screw to set the level. I prefer a stock stick over the aftermarket knob style but not finding a stock repop.
I'm wondering if a 351C dipstick would be the same as a 429's as the 351C's seams to be readily available? Also i'm not sure if this motor takes 5 or 6 quarts of oil? I have no idea what this motor came out of but the hacks cut out the crossmember to fit the motor in rather than change the pan. I'm not driving it till the crossmember problem is fixed. ![]() |
