Ooops the group is private you have to join Polycarbonate supposedly won't stain so clean oil won't be too bad figure about $600 to the States, comparable to similar quality sbc clear covers made here + shipping considering they're not available anywhere else on this planet or any other, it is what it is Spectre makes sbf clear covers pretty cheap |

That would be great if you had an engine in great condition that kept clean oil. But most engines have black oil really fast after an oil change. I have had one engine that could keep the oil transparent. My 99 Explorer with SOHC V6 had a rebuilt engine from a past owner(those SOHC had timing chain system issues). I put Amsoil Signature oil in it one time, plus an Amsoil air filter then also. At 9000 miles the oil was full and transparent. That would look cool to see clean oil inside at a glance when the engine is off. Unfortunately my new aftermarket air cleaner used a clamp for the cone air filter, and it wasn't quite tight enough, it fell off soon after and I discovered it by an check of the dipstick. The oil was pitch black a week after it had been so clean before, I changed right after that to a normal synthetic I regularly used. The trans died about four months later, oh well.

Reminds me of the guys over at Garage 54. They show how they made a transparent oil pan and rockers and then they show what happens when you start a motor at -30° LOL. They also made a transparent block in a different video. It ran for like 3 seconds but it was still cool to see.
