So I like almost anyone with a sedan or wagon had very leaky windows when I got my Torino.  I read and searched everywhere and came up with the same answers I'm sure everyone has seen...not much. I tried the PlastiDip, even tried cutting the back ind inserting rubber vacuum line to try to seal the gap. No luck.  I bought a roll of universal 3M self-adhesive weatherstripping - part number 8651.  It didn't quite fill the space the OEM weather seal filled, but it sealed the window! It is available in many part stores.

Not a show car fix, but since mine's a driver it's good enough.  I've been thinking about filling the gap with black RTV or something so it looks a bit better.  I overlapped the corner a little to help fill the area under the corner of the glass.

I don't know if this would help but you might be able to make something closer with one of these.

Looks like a similar product, just different shapes.  I'll give them a good look over before doing the other windows.

Wow, this is what I have been looking for. The original owner filled the gaps in the original weatherstripping on my wagon with Great Stuff. Obviously did not work, as the car leaks badly.

I have been looking for good seals as well ever since I got my wagon way back when.

Every now and again I'd come across some NOS stuff on EBay, but I havent seen anything in the last few years.  Ya also have to remember even the NOS stuff, if you can find it, is 50+years old. Ouch

Please post if you find something close that will work.

Good luck on your project! Thumbs Up

For the rear window on the wagon, I used this stuff:

I wish it were a little thicker so it would seal better at the bottom of the window, but it seals fine at the top of the window. I then used peel-and-stick foam weatherstrip from Home Depot for the metal part of the tailgate, which I could stack to get more thickness.

For the windows, I bought the seals for a 1973-74 LTD from Rubber the Right Way. I cut it to fit the driver's door, but when rolled up, the window wasn't pressed up against it. I have since adjusted the window, so I might try again. In the meantime, I used gray putty to fill in the gaps on the old window seals, then colored it with a Sharpie, but that ink never stays dark, and I still have hella wind noise on the highway.
1972 Gran Torino station wagon, light blue, 351C 2V, prior owner upgraded to 4V (2V heads), originally had a C4 but prior owner changed to C6 for some reason.
