This article provides some good information before you drop the bucks on a new 9" Posi. http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/drivetrain/ford_9_inch_rear_end_currie_enterprises/index.html

I bought all my rear-end stuff from Randy's R&P and I highly recommend them. http://www.ringpinion.com/

I've debated about my GTS...I have a used 28 spline tracloc I got from a cousin, that came out of a bronco but needs rebuilt.
Personally, I've debated about going to a detriot locker...but just never felt inclined to drop the money on a new unit.
If you are doing a budget project, honestly, I don't see a huge reason why the Ford Traclock unit wouldn't be more than suitable for a street car.

Because I am a sticler for USA made stuff...I noticed the Yukon stuff indicated "Assembled in USA" so are they imported from the far east, Mexico?

I would think the Currie stuff would be top notch...but depends on budget.

Just make sure to spend the time buying the correct gear oil with additives for the clutch discs if you get the traclok.

The additives do make a huge difference.  I try to be a stickler for the US stuff as well.  My jeep had a trac loc in it before I put the locker in and I never had a problem with the unit so I think I am going to go that route.  I have used randys before and they are a great company.  I would recommend them as well.
Thanks for the input
