Brake, vapor and fuel lines

I was going to buy some the brake, vapor and fuel lines from Inline, but can anyone confirm that the lines on my 72 Montego are the same as a 72 Gran Torino.
I have power disc brakes up front, drums in the rear.

I would think they are the same, but just want to make sure.
Quite a bit of $ to put out.

ya, they are the same chassis so things should be the same. Why don't you just do the lines yourself? If you are doing the lines with the body on the frame it's going to be a pain no mater what and if you have the body off, it's all the more reason to do it yourself.

I just finished installing a set of lines for InLineTube.com (brake and fuel not vapor). They were good lines, fairly well bent and only one incorrect b-nut (at master cylinder one line). They corrected the b-nut when I called and sent it back. The lines front to rear are near impossible without the body off the frame. I did it but but some additional bends in it which I had to deal with. All in all it worked out.

There have been some suggestions to make your own and use NiCopp tubing. Very sound advice if you can stomach bending your own. I researched that and found it to be good material to use in this application. Psquare75 suggested sectioning the line to make it an easier install (fuel line). Very sound advice also.

Thanks for the advice. I do have the body off (see my project page). I have the old fuel and brake lines off. So it should be easy to install.

I was thinking about bending my own, but decided to buy the pre-bent lines. I like the way they already have the springs on the lines, plus I just don't have to mess with them. Plus I'll probably go with stainless.
Wish they came with the clips though.
I left the vapor line on while the frame is getting blasted. I want to see how that comes out. I may or may not go with a new one.

I'll probably order as soon as I get my frame back from the blaster.

You must be referring to one of the short lines that go from the proportional valve to the master cylinder?
I would be going with the stock front disc brake line kit.

Correct, one of the two short lines (proportioning valve to master cylinder) had an incorrectly sized B-nut. I called InLineTube and advised them of the error. They said their sample had a different end.

I believe there was some variation in the master cylinder port sizes over the years, so that may explain it, but I think nowadays you can only get a master cylinder with one port size set.

I had the same problem scott.  one of my nuts wouldn't fit into the MC.  I had to use an adapter because inline wouldn't change mine.  they said "that's the way they are supposed to be"  even though I bought a NEW MC for my car. 
 
apparently the MC changed that hole somewhere between 72 and 73 because my 72 was different than my 73

Interesting. I'll need to compare my current master cylinder with my new master cylinder and check out the size of the hole. Once I order the lines I'll make sure I tell them up front that both are the same or both holes have a different size.
