Wow…parts are hard to find for this year!😲
I need a clutch rod boot. The part I bought is to small in diameter. The hole is 2 1/2 inches. We need someone to make boots for our cars! Any ideas welcome. Thanks.

I’ve been looking for a replacement boot too. I’ve never come across a NOS unit. Mine came with a 4 speed so I need to find something that will fit in that 2 1/2” factory hole. I’m sure I could figure out something that would “work”, I just wish I could find something that is, or looks, OEM.

yes the C60Z-7533 part has been confirmed not correct (too small) to fit the existing hole in the firewall but can be used for auto - manual conversions as you'd be making your own hole
do you have anything left of your original boot, what does it look like, anything like this? |

The old boot looks exactly like the boot I bought. It is just bigger.
Was the 72 GTS/4spd the ONLY car that used the bigger boot??. That cant be true………………..hopefully. |

do you think you could trim the old boot down and RTV the new boot into the section that fits the hole in the firewall?
clean it real good with carb cleaner or brakleen and the 2 should become 1

Unfortunately this seal was only used on 1972-74 Torinos with manual transmissions. It is not reproduced and super rare. I'd do google searches for the part number to see if any show up. Otherwise, check place that specialize in NOS parts like Green Sales. |

It doesn't help any but someone around here was working on those. I bought one of the trials. Can't remember off hand who it was.

By new boot do you mean the C60Z-7533 you bought? What exactly did you use to bond it to the old base? Got a pic to share?
Thanks, Troy
