Hello;
I am a new member. I live in Franklin NC which is just south of Asheville. I have recently purchased a 1972 Gran Torino Sport. Looking to find part suppliers and advice on restoring and beefing up suspension among other things!

Welcome. Can you post the specs on your machine please? There are only a few parts available new and the folks with used parts are pretty much here.

Welcome to the forum!  I have upgraded you to new member, so you have full forum privileges.  We have tons of info archived here and lots on improving the suspension.  If you car has the base level suspension it was way to soft to have any semblance of handling.  Check out a bunch of reference material in this section of the forum:

We also have a bunch of sticky posts throughout the forum that are helpful.

Post you questions and we will help you out.

1972 Gran Torino Sport, with a 1971 351W with a FITech  GO STREET 400 HP Carb., a 1983 AOD Transmission, an aluminum racing drive shaft, a stock rear end replaced with 4.11 Richmond gears. All of this was done by the previous owner. I am just getting into this project, but everything else appears to be stock.
