I just had to share this pic of my landlords 1976 F-250. It had been sitting in a barn on the property since 1993. I fixed some fuel lines, added some fuel to the tank, cleaned the rats nest out of the air cleaner and got her to fire with a little eather. Took her for a test drive. sweet truck. F-250, 390, C6, 4x4, snow fighter package, really nice shape. Just needs a little TLC. Might try to talk him out of it.
Figured this was good to post here as its ford related. Please excuse my ugly mug. Edited by Grande Verde - 10-October-2011 at 8:29AM |

As the owner of a Bump-side (71 F-250) I appreciate the Dent and Bump side trucks of the 60's and 70's. They are great.

Sweet truck. I love both the bump and and dent sides, and am still working on the '68 we have. I just love the stance that one has.

ok yall talk funny as we always refered to the different beds as
stepside or Fleetside like above model. then later they started calling the stepside bed, flareside and that was somewhere in the late 80's early 90's I think |

Bumpside means that the middle body line sticks out (bumped out) 1967-72, and Dentside means the middle body line is indented (dented in) 1973-79. Just slang terms meant to differentiate the generation of F series trucks. Fleetside or stepside doesn't affect the terminology when referring to the era of those.
