    Posted: 16-June-2016 at 8:51AM
I ordered a set of ACC floor mats for my car and just got them today.  Has anyone else ordered these?  The front mats for my car seem really small and don't fit very well at all.  They seem way too small, too short to properly cover the floor.  I am disappointed in these mats especially with how expensive they are.  Did I get sent the wrong mats or is this just how they are made?  I never would have ordered them if I knew this is how they would fit.

I just called the company I ordered from, and it seems they are willing to work with me.  They will either do a refund or I can get some Lloyd floor mats instead for about $10 more. The vendor admitted that they just use a generic cut for the Torinos that is also used on Mustangs and GM F-bodies so he wasn't surprised they fit so poorly.

Anyone here ordered Lloyd floor mats?  Do they fit properly?  Are they good quality?

I've got Lloyd mats in my 75. There weren't cheap, but they are sweet!

Yes those are what the onese I got looked like.  The front mats are too short to cover the floor properly.  They also slide all over the place because of the GTS sport vinyl inserts on the factory flooring.  I have an old set of generic part store mats in there now and they work much better, don't slide around and cover the floor properly.  These mats are showing some wear and are the wrong color which is why I wanted to replace them for a nice high end set.

Those look better than the ACC mats.  What are the back sides like?  The ACC mats are pretty thin and have a rubber back with little nibs.  They don't work well with the vinyl GTS carpet inserts.

Do you mind doing me a favor and measuring these mats for approx. length and width?   Are you're pile carpeting?  I am assuming your OEM carpet only has a small vinyl heel pad not the full GTS vinyl inserts?

I have had ACC mats before, and these are lightyears ahead in quality. The backings are rubber with the traction nubs. The driver's mat has the two metal eyelets and comes with the plastic anchors that screw into your floor mat and hook into the eyelets so the driver's mat does not move (same setup and modern OEM mats). I do have the extra high pile factory carpet.

I'll get some measurements this weekend for you.

Sorry Vince, forgot about your request....   I can tell by your pics that your ACC mats are not vehicle specific. Those are just universal mats with a Torino logo. The Lloyd mats are definitely shaped to match the floor. Below is a pic tried to get of the fit on the pass side.

They are 18" wide and 34" long. They go all the way up the footwell and end where the carpet ends.

If you need any more info, let me know.

Thanks Sal, they look awesome.  The ACC mats are only about 25" long so no wonder they looked terrible in the car.  After seeing these pics, and your dimensions I am definitely going with the Lloyd mats.

You'll love them. I was weary about spending $110 on floor mats, but very happy with the quality.

March 2026 Update

This thread gets a lot of Google hits, so I wanted to share up to date info. Based on this forum's feedback, I went with Lloyd's for my floor mats. They are now owned by Covercraft. I was weary since they didn't have a '70 Torino option, but they did have mats for a '70 Ranchero... So I did a sacrificial order of the Ranchero mats for the benefit of our community. And yep they fit perfectly as I expected. I love that it has a cutout for the high beam switch. They even have holes for anti-slip retainers and they supply the retainers as well. They are very nice and thick, I went with the "ultimat". Just one more gripe is they don't have licensing for Ford or Torino. The best I could do was "351C". But I think these will be far superior to the ACC universal mats that everybody else sells. Also Lloyds does support the later Torino's, so I'm sure they are just as a superior fit as mine.
