Interesting find! Found a couple hidden VIN#s on two tabs on top of the cowl..

Yep, that where they typically are, and there’s sometimes one stamped in the frame near the rear, as I understand it.

Those were the ONLY VIN stampings I found on the body/chassis during my build....

Got the bucket seats back and they look awesome! The foam was in pretty good shape so they just added a little to the back and seat area. Working on swapping out metal pieces to the new interior door panels. Test fitted/clipped the new headliner up to see how it fits. Looks good, so I should be able to handle it if I take my time..

I’m afraid not much has happened since then. Good news, only one more daughter’s college payment! 👏This has to be the magic year though, 50th Anniversary!

Finally, update time!! 🙄
Finished up the Dynomat. Installed the headliner which barely had enough material to get over the sides by the doors. First carpet I installed just wasn’t wide enough so I wound up ordering another one from a different company which fit a lot better. 1/4 windows back in with new felts. Reproductive sail panels and interior door panels installed, new armrests. Old school red Federal Signal red light plastic restored with reproduction label,  new power cord with on/off switch. Motorola police radio installed.
Back window installed with rope method. Didn’t use any sealant because it looked like a hellofa mess with the rope. Going to water test and probably add some around outside of seal/pinchweld. Test fitted windshield and noticed a couple scratches in brand new glass the body shop had purchased to check fit of the rear clip welding job from previous shop. Got the scratches and now waiting for a glass guy to help me install. Then install the trim front and back.
The best part was the the car hadn’t been started in about 3 years. But after spinning it over with the coil wire off for a bit I noticed it had gas in the carb, so without adding any or using starting fluid I hit the key and she fired right up! 👍 Ran through the gears to get the tranny fluid going in the rebuilt tranny then noticed a good amount of smoke from a leaky valve cover gasket so new gaskets were installed.
So that’s where I’m at folks. After the glass is installed I found an old Ford/mercury mechanic near my house that would rebuild the carb and get everything fine turned. After that, a trip to a muffler shop to change the tail pipes to tuck them up by the frame and I should be ready to roll.😊
I do have a couple questions though regarding reattaching my emergency brake cable and driver’s mirror control lever which I will throw past everyone shortly.

They are the OEM ones. Over the years I had actually purchased two sets of bucket seats to replace my original bench. Both still had the trim still on them, one set better than the other and cleaned up pretty good. The other was pretty yellowed, were brittle, and broke..
