Isn't it supposed to be a full optioned car?

Pilot and season 2-4 Tomatoes had the body side moldings, but the season 1 cars DID NOT... which is why the factory LEs didn't have them either because Ford copied the season 1 cars for their S&H option.
Here are the restored season 2-4 Hero Torinos.... HERO 1 - the bench seat Torino ![]() HERO 2 - the bucket seat Torino HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I meant the trim on the top of the doors and quarters. I don't see it on the S&H cars.
Happy Thanksgiving!

It's the trim on top of the door and quarter, right next to the glass. The black one has it, the red one does not. My car has them. I have not seen them on S&H cars. ![]() |

I wonder if the difference is because of the chrome mirrors on the show cars? I know your bottom pic shows sport mirrors without the wide chrome, but could that car have been changed from chrome mirrors? I don't know for sure why the difference, just trying to come up with something different that would cause the trim change?

as i understand it there are 2 types of window felt trim. IDK what the rhyme or reason is for any car to be fitted with either trim, could be the standard / optioned trim package that triggers the window felt trim? the wide trim IIRC is not available aftermarket but the the new fuzz can be refitted to the original wide trim. so anyway maybe the reason you think the S&H cars don't have trim is because they're wearing the narrow trim?

Ahhhh.... BELT LINE MOLDINGS. For some reason I immediately thought body side molding.
![]() Looking back at pics of my original LE, it came from the factory with the narrow bright trim. If memory serves me correctly from the months I spent looking at Torinos back when I was searching for my current car, the wider trim was part of the Brougham package. When I have some time later today, I'll go thru my Ford Master Parts Catalog and look at the different door belt line moldings used between 74-76 and see if I can determine where the wider moldings were used....
