Hey gang!

Not sure whether this fits better under Cars/Projects or Parts for Sale, since it’s intentionally being offered as one complete package. A1972 factory black Sportsroof project plus a donor car and a large stash of mostly brand-new (still boxed) parts meant for a full resto I had planned. Posting here because this group knows Gran Torinos better than anywhere else.

Quick backstory:
This started as a passion project to build a clean, Memphis-lifelong ’72 Sportsroof. I stripped the original trim, panels, and non-sport cluster and sourced nearly everything needed (many NOS/repro from the usual suppliers). Life hit hard and my wife passed away and I’ve lost the drive to keep the project moving. With more time going into my business and a solid opportunity there, it’s time to redirect resources.

I’d strongly prefer to sell everything together rather than part out 100+ items. Shipping and piecing this out isn’t something I want to deal with right now but that may be unavoidable. Putting out feelers here first for a full-bundle buyer. If there’s no bundle interest, I’ll part later but the bundle is the priority.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
1972 Gran Torino Sportsroof
Factory black
Needs full body and interior restoration but has solid bones
Original removed exterior trim included
Original interior panels included
2 Sport Hoods (both great)
Original non-sport gauge cluster included
Currently on new 15x7 Magnum 500 repro wheels + BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires (Wheels/tires can go separate if needed)
If separated, Sportsroof shell alone would realistically be in the $2,500 range (bring your own wheels)

Formal Roof Torino.Mostly stripped. Doors and front end removed. Roof gone a long time ago to rust.
High-mileage 351-2V engine + transmission
Solid frame
Some remaining trim and random usable parts
Value mainly as donor/scrap/odds

ASKING PRICE
$10,000 – LOCAL PICKUP ONLY (Memphis area)
That’s a steep discount off my $18k invested. This is priced for someone who wants a one-stop ’72 Torino build without chasing parts for months.
I think the bundle makes sense. Avoids sales tax on $13.6k in parts and avoids freight on large items (seats, wheels, exhaust, radiator, interior kits, etc.). Between tax and shipping alone, the buyer saves roughly $2,000–$3,000+, before factoring in the value of the Sportsroof and donor.
No shipping on the bundle. No lower offers, please.
Titles in hand this or next week (delayed due to snow)

Happy to send additional photos of the cars and overall condition. Most parts are still boxed/unopened, so no individual part photos unless requested.

Last set of photos just for reference before pulled apart and strip down started.

PM me or reply here if interested in the full package.
Thanks for looking, and I appreciate any interest or solid leads.

– Todd

Hi Todd, that's a great set of parts for a 72 GTS project. I wish you could keep it and finish it for yourself, I understand about life taking up precious time. That entire post is well thought out and very descriptive. Hopefully someone will see this and take it all, it is a very fair price.

I agree with Don, it's too bad you can't finish.  I think this is a great price for the car and parts.  I hope it finds a good home.

I have lowered this to 8500.00 because I really want a stab at getting some closeout items from a store in my industry. It is a massive stash and hate to take the loss but the gain for my business outweighs it in the long run. Posted on marketplace and wanted to share the update here as well.

The funny part of this is I now have to figure out how to get my garage door loose lol. A balancing cable on one side came loose and now I have a jammed shut garage. It's always something to keep life interesting!
