1972 Gran Torino 2-door F-Code in OR

   Came across this CL ad listed near Portland.  It has some significant damage to the header panel on the front end.  I copied the listing detail and text below.

Real GRAN TORINO. Runs & drives. Muscle car. Complete project, no 
major rust. 2 owners from new. Third generation Torino was produced 
(1972–1976). 

• Sold on Lien Title and Bill of Sale from Tow Yard

• True mileage unknown 

• Ford 302 Windsor V8

• Automatic C4 transmission goes easily into gear, Drive, Reserve, Park and Neutral.

• Originally sold new to Seattle

• Paint code: medium green metallic 4P, Trim level:CR, Axel: 6, 3.00:1 gear ratio 

• Runs and drives!

Recent WORK completed on 12/30/24:

• Oil change 

• Coolant flush

• Transmission serviced, new filter and ATF

+ The good: Longterm ownership. Our Grandfather bought this car in the 
late 1970’s. Last driven in 2017.  Surface rust, Straight body aside 
from the front-end dent. It was being stored and something fell on it. 
Starts strong. Idles on its own; engine runs smooth. No stumbling at 
higher RPM. Power steering and power brakes work. Extra hub caps (8 in 
total).

+ The bad: large dent in front end grill (hood is not damaged), car has 
been poorly repainted, front bench seat is splitting, door seals leak, 
must be kept covered. The rear head liner is sagging. No keys, can’t 
unlock the trunk or gas cap. Headlight switch, heater and radio not 
functioning at this time. Engine runs a little Smokey, might be burning 
off oil from sitting.
