Hello everyone, my name is Shaun. I'm searching around for a 68 Torino GT that my late father built. I unfortunately don't have the VIN, the only clue and idea I have is that it was sold in Ohio around 2006-2010, I think on Ebay, to someone on the west coast. I'll try my hardest to find a few pictures. The huge call out is the amazing bright green paint job. It had ton of sparkle and looked like brand new. Just hoping for a hit, and possibly, just possibly a buy back as my father died around 6 years ago. Thank you all for your help, and I'll get to looking for pictures..!!

Welcome to the forum! I have upgraded you to a full member. I moved your post to be a sticky in the classified section. Hopefully you can track the car down. Is there anyway of getting the VIN through DMV records?

Still actively looking for this if anything comes up... Hard to believe I can't even find who owns it... Today marks the 8th of year of his passing...

Do you actively review different car auction/selling sites like Hemmings, Bring a Trailer, e-Bay, etc? They have filters you can apply and search periodically if it goes up for sale. Good luck, I hope you find it. -Chris

Welcome and good luck on your search. I hope you can find it eventually and either get it back or at least know it went to a good home. The photo didn't show up for me, but do you have one with a shot of the license plate number? You *might* be able to trace that at your county court clerk's office? Or if you find someone there who is REALLY nice and you ask them nicely on a slow day, *maybe* they could do a registration search by a Last Name wildcard in their system and see if it pulls up his information in their system to get the tag number and the VIN number? Another idea would be if you know who his insurance agent was back then, maybe they might still have the VIN number in their records? If you can somehow come up with the VIN number, I think there are companies online that can do a title search for the car and find out where it is at (if it is still registered on the road). Certainly worth a try, anyway.
