Wow, that is a very sharp Torino! What gears are you running? It must move out nicely with the aluminum heads on the 428. Is it a stock cam?

Thanks! It’s got a 3.5:1 Detroit Locker rear end and they put a Lunati cam in when they rebuilt the engine. It scoots along pretty good.

Appreciate it. I read your story on your 72 Torino. That’s a nice job you did on it. I like that it’s an understated, “old lady” base-model body, but everything else is the guts from the Michigan GTS. I’m a big fan of sleepers. Yours isn’t quite a sleeper, per se, but I bet most folks don’t know what they’re rolling up on when they see it. :)

Nice Cobra! How was changing out the front suspension parts? I've got the parts to upgrade my '69 GT, but the springs give me pause to change myself. What spring compressor did you use? Thx.

I had the same concern, so I took it to a friend who has a shop. He recommended just doing the upper ball joint and not the whole control arm, so we wouldn’t have to tear everything apart. So, we did that and then the lower control arm which was easier.
I compressed the spring on an old Monte Carlo and was terrified the whole time, so I don’t blame you for being concerned. I’ve seen a few videos of them popping…
