Hello;
I am ordering a new printed circuit board for my 1972 Gran Torino Sport. The printed circuit board does not come with the Instrument voltage regulator. When looking online I am getting mixed results for which IVR to buy. Does anyone know the correct IVR part number for my Torino? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is a pic of my instrument cluster.

For the standard cluster it is:

D1AZ 10804-A

For the Rallye Cluster it is:

C9AZ 10804-A

This applies to all 1972-76 Torinos.

are those PN's not in the Cluster & Gauges info thread?

my recollection there are 2 IVR's, the terminals are opposite and mount different.

different for 77-79's? maybe, the printed circuits and lower housing are different.

leave it to Ford ....

Looked all over the threads and could not find a part number for a 1972. Maybe I missed it, but I could only find for 1973 and up.

Guys, may I join in on this conversation? I purchased a 72 Ranchero Gt (with full gauges)  Problem is gas gauge did not work.  I have checked the sending unit (good) the gauge (good) so I replaced ivr. with the D1Az # Now, gauge works only when key is in Acc. mode, as soon as engine fires, the gauge goes off. So I checked the voltage at the gauge in Acc. mode (7volts) needs 6 . With key ignition on, voltage drops to (4 volts). Soooo then I see this post, and I realize I got the standard gauge part first time around, so I just installed new the C9AZ# and they don't work at all! This ivr is only putting out 5 and 4 volts!
Anybody have any Ideas? P.S. all other instruments work properly.

Maybe it's a defective repro IVR?  What kind of shape is the printed circuit in?

Vince, thanks for the reply. Printed circuit is brand new. This is the 2nd new ivr I tried. Both were repops. There is a NOS one on ebay right now, hmm??? I already have about 75 bucks invested in these things.
Do I dare try another one.????
Just for the record , the turn signals weren't working either. I put a new flasher in, still no go. I tore the switch apart, all was good. Ouch, so I bought another new flasher, and it worked! Can these new repop parts be trusted?

I bit the bullet, and just bought brand new ivr #3. This one is NOS, so I'm hoping I'll have better luck than with the last 2 repops. I will chime in when I get it here and installed. Thanks Rodger

Ok guys, I apologize for my meltdown last week. I have calmed down.Clap
I did finely get my gas gauge working! IRV #3 was the NOS part that actually worked. P/N C9AZ 10804A.
I had to take a few days away.... Then went back and RE-TESTED my sending unit and now found it NOT working. Just put a new sending unit in, and what do ya know, everything works! Thanks for all the help and suggestions. Rodger
