I saw this ad on marketplace.  It's part of a private group so you may not be able to see it.  Below is a screen shot of the car and I copied the text from the ad:

1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport .... 99% factory original equipped 81,277 original miles
Very nice example of an an adult owned, Iconic Cruiser that performs like the day it left the showroom
NON-ORIGINAL air filter, A/C compressor, Rear sway bar (important upgrades)
Has one very nice paint job....SOLID
Numbers Matching 351 Cleveland V8 engine and transmission
Dual exhaust, automatic transmission, power steering, front power disc brakes, front and rear sway bars, factory air conditioning with upgraded compressor and R134A refrigerant, rebuilt carburetor
Magnum 500 Wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A white letter tires, laser stripe package
Bench seat interior, Rally Gauge package with tachometer dash, auxiliary gauges
Custom Auto Sound AM/FM radio with auxiliary input.

The Car looks decent, but not 99% original like it claims.  It's repainted, was originally a chrome trim car, not a laser stripe, which it's why it's missing the wheel moldings. The carpet is aftermarket. The undercarriage is freshly undercoated, some chrome added underhood and it's got an Addco bar added on. Overall a decent looking car, and I know I am nit picking, but for 41K it better be near perfect.

I agree, it's a very nice car, but that price should get you a far better than new car.

My eventually to sell spare will have a far better than stock engine, 4-speed automatic, console(not OEM(column shift)), and upgraded brakes. I hope to ask $25k for mine depending on the results and the market.

That is the same car and pics from an Ad I saw in PJs Auto World in Florida. Someone bought it from them and now, this eBay ad is selling it for them. I asked about it just today from the eBay seller.

By the way…know of anyone wanting to sell a 72 GTS? I want one, again. If you recall, during Covid 2019 I auctioned off my 72 GTS giving the full proceeds to Feeding America. A guy from Poland bought it.

Now that I am retired, last year, I am ready to have another 72GTS.
