Car details: 68 torino 2 door hardtop coupe base

I can’t currently upload pics so hopefully I can decently explain it and yall can help me out.

My window hits the rubber on the frame seal upon closing and rather than going under it, it stays on the outside creating a gap between the door window and the rear small window. If I push in on the glass while closing it will go in and seal semi ok, eliminating the gap but it’s not right. The frame side seal appears to have been replaced and perhaps it’s just not the right one, idk. Thoughts or experience?

I’m also missing a chrome window trim piece that sits on the door against the outside of the window. I can’t seem to find this trim anywhere to purchase. I’m not sure if it helps keep the window stable or in position upon closing? The window seems to have more travel play than it should. In other words, you can rock the window back and forth, inside to outside direction while it’s all the way up with the door open.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Mine was out of whack as well.  I started by removing the interior door panel to see what was going on. One of the guides had become completely unglued, and was laying in the bottom of the door. The wheel on the regulator had broke. The regulator itself needs to be cleaned and regreased. The track that the bad guide slides onto was broken. I know there are adjustments that can be made if everything is in good working order, but you'll need the interior door panel off for those as well.  I would start there and see what you're working with.
