Welcome!
Good news, doors from multiple years will fit; glass may be different between models. Bad news, you're going to have to find good used, they aren't reproduced. Depending on your location you can find them, just be careful and avoid the scammers. Good luck! Cannot wait to see some pics! |

Welcome to the forum. This is THE best source I have found for detailed information on these cars. If you ask it here; odds are VERY good that someone will be able to provide you the answer (or you may find it was already posted. The search tool is definitely your new bestest friend). The only downside is that unlike say, a Mustang of the same era, most of the parts on these are not something you can just order a whole new car-in-a-catalog from. A few parts are Genuine Unobtainium but even those, somebody here may have one or two they may be willing to sell/let go of, depending on what they already have/need for their own project(s). It never hurts to ask? On the other hand, when you DO get finished with it, you will have something that you can go to the local shows with and probably not see 10 of them sitting next to yours at any given show. I know when I went to the Triple Crown of Hot Rodding show at the Nashville Superspeedway, out of literally HUNDREDS of cars of all types there, I saw exactly TWO Torinos of any vintage and ZERO 1972 ones, period. If I could have dragged mine down there on the back of a trailer and rolled it off, I *still* would have had the nicest one at the show (and also the ugliest one!). So between that and the family connection, definitely yours should be a keeper and worth the time and effort to fix it up. And since you're new here- Welcome.

JT46, you might want to put a little more specific home location on here, might be a forum member who lives by you that might have parts or know where a good source might be.

Post an ad in the want section for doors. 1972 to 1976 2-door Torinos (except Elite) will fit. The door glass for Fastback cars is specific to them.
Quarter panels are reproduced. Tabco makes them and lots of used them with success. |

My condolences on your loss and welcome home. These cars are hard to get good parts for but there are folks here with what you need. Some you will have to fab yourself.
