I bought a 1970 Torino Cobra C code. after receiving my marti elite report. I learned it was a 1 of 2. It is in very bad shape. Being I am a Body man removed from that industry for 24 years I wanted to restore an old car. This is the one I picked. I have learned some things about what it is going to take to fix all that is wrong. And I feel I should have passed on this one. But its numbers matching and I will give it my best shot. Wish me LUCK!! haha

It has the 429 CJ. the C code refers to the non shaker hood. J code being, with Shaker.
I however have found a shaker and I do plan on setting that up with another hood. That way I will keep the factory hood if I want to show as a C code. But for the cool factor, I will be sporting the shaker most of the time.  Smile

Welcome to the forum! I am not sure which forum you intended to join. However, this is a Torino forum is for all Torinos 1968 to 1976, so you are welcome here. We do have a section dedicated to 1970 to 71 Torinos and lots of resources/information archived on the site (see the technical articles and reference information section).

I have upgraded you to a new member, so you have full forum privileges. Post some pics of your Torino, we'd love to see it.

Welcome aboard, I like that you are restoring the Torino rather than it rotting away or worse sent to a crusher. Good luck with your project
