Hi, Looking for some advice to solve an unset brake distribution block in a 1969 Ford Fairlane with Disc / Drum setup. The rear drum-end lost pressure un-setting the valve in the block. The valve seems really stuck, I'm having trouble resetting it. I've tried poking at it from the fault light sensor port, blowing back up the brake line and bleeding the front end disc brakes. I even have the screw in part to hold it in place while I bleed the lines after it's set again. Just wondering.... 1) Is it called a brake proportioning valve or a distribution block in this model, I believe combination valve came later? 2) Does anyone know where I might find a rebuild kit to suit this model? It says 'Wagner' but when I Google or image search the engraved codes, I get zilch. 3) Or does anyone know where I'd find a suitable original part or alternative part? 4) Or, and I'm not against this, would a new block just be better? Such as this Wilwood linked below, then how do I know if it’s a suitable match for the car? Would I also need a new dual master cylinder too? (Non-power brakes). Or, if I've missed anything obvious please let me know. Usually I get parts on RockAuto but this doesn't seem to exist there. Thanks in advance! If you don't trust links you could Google ‘Summit Racing Wilwood Brake Proportioning Valves 260-11322’

My dad recently went through something like this on his 1969 Fairlane base model 4-door. His does have power brakes, so I don't know if that makes a difference, but his is disc/drum. He ended up getting a new (reman?) proportioning valve from West Coast Classic Cougar. The ones on the Cougars have something a little different in how they mount, but are otherwise the same. I've found that they're a good place to get stuff that's hard to find but is common between Cougars and Fairlanes/Torinos.

I just went back through my texts with my dad, and his block looks different, so I think the power part of it might make a difference. Not sure if any Cougars would have come with manual brakes.

Thanks for the responses Inkara1.
I just went through that website. Unfortunatley, they don't have a match for 'non-power (manual?) disc drum brake distribution blocks'. There's a couple of blocks which look identical but seem to be drum only and they are 'wanted' or out of stock. Appreciate the advice. Thanks so much.
