I was purusing the local FB for sale adds today and came across this 72 GTS for sale here in Washington. I had to do a doubletake! 
This project GTS is equipped identical to the one I just bought. Probably built on the same day. This would be really cool to have but I just have the room or time for another project.

Cool find. The VINs are only a 15 numbers apart. It would be nice if someone bought and saved this car, but it looks like it needs a lot of work.

fun fact about Q code C6 cars...if that's the original C6, that has a special 10" high stall torque converter. 
If the engine hasn't been messed with...alternator pulley and water pump pulley's should be the larger diameter deeper groove pulleys for the 4V higher RPM's. 

and wow...those VIN numbers are darn close!!
