I am having a tough time finding a correct brown vinyl top. Mustang market sent me a sample but it is so small I cant figure out if the grain is correct. Does anyone have a close up shot of a correct brown top? Is the brown top design the same as a black lavant vinyl top?
Trying to do this right!

I did purchase my white vinyl top from Mustang Market for my 72, but wasn't too concerned with the grain, so I just purchased.

I do have my original take off, so (if/when I remember that i posted this), I will try to get a photo of my original next to the replacement.

Here is the sample patch on top of the standard black vinyl material. Does the brown look correct?

What year is  your car? I'm not seeing a brown vinyl top listed on Mustang Market.
Your sample appears much smoother than any vinyl top I remember seeing except for those half roof padded landau tops.

You picture it seems to present light in color as well, but this may be due to the black background.

I have a 72. Marti says brown vinyl top. I called mustang market, they said they can make one. I was curious if anyone here has one or seen one. The color is darker than the picture shows. I would like to get as correct as possible.

I had a one owner 73 back in 2004 with a brown vinyl top. This was a low mile garage kept car. Here are what I have for pictures that you can see the color and top on.

That looks to be the right color. Do you remember the texture pattern?

Didn't get out to the shop today, but I'm pretty sure it matched what I have on my car now. I will get pics tomorrow, sorry for the delay.

If my memory serves me right, the texture of the replacement I purchased from Mustang Market and the original on this car, was exactly what was on the 73...here are some pics of old being held over new.

Perfect match! The black top i bought from ecklers is the same pattern as yours. But the one I got from mustang market is a little different. I would think all colors would have the same grain or texture.
Your info is really helpful and much appreciated!
