Update on widest rear tire possibilities.

Wheels are 15x10 with 5.5” backspace.

Tires are Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R radials, size 28-12-r15. Which is approximately 305-55-15.

Very beautiful Jeff, the car that is. The tire sizes are great too, a nice look and fit. Well done.

Is the backspace really 5.5"? That is insane.

Yep!  Crazy isn't it.  Maxing it out.  I can't see 6" BS working.

Hello everybody, I have a 71 Ranchero GT I am wanting some new rims and tires for. I am wanting to go with 15x8 front, and 15x10 rear. I’m not opposed to going with 17s if it’ll help me achieve the look I’m going for. I really want tires that will fill the wheel well up, and give the car a Rake appearance. I’m not sure what I need to get in terms of offset and backspacing for the rims, or tire sizes. Any help is greatly appreciated!
