I am looking at a Torino 500 GT that is supposedly an original Ram air 4 speed car with a VIN of 1H30C207906 cahn I tell if it was a 4 speed 429 cobra jet car it now has a lincoln 450 in it any idea what its worth if the body is decent how about value with a 429? sorry guys Thanks for the help

Get a Marti report on the car (if you want info from the factory records): https://secure.alevelhigher.com/martiauto/vinreports.cfm The car was definately a C-coded 429 though from the VIN. Check the drivers door for the Vehicle Certification Label. Thats where the transmission code is. Transmission codes are on the bottom right of the label, not the last code but the one just to the left of that. A 5 or a 6 is a 4 speed manual car. A W or a U is an automatic. |

BTW value without the 429 is going to be seriously less. Lincoln motors are considered boat anchors. If the 4 speed is gone thats another serious blow.
