I am trying to locate the VIN code on my 70 Torino. The door and dash plates are gone. Can anyone help me find another location where the VIN is stamped during the manufacturing process (frame, firewall etc.)
Any help would be appreciated. I can't license the car until I find the VIN.

If the door and dash plates are gone, someone may have already registered the VIN on another car.  Was your car in bad shape?  Is it a big block car?

This car is a 70 Ranchero that has had quite a few modifications. One of which is a Nascar type sheet metal dash, which account for the plate being gone at that point. The individual I purchased it from was the owner on the title and I have run the car through law enforcement and it is clean. Since the car is going to a different state it needs to have a VIN inspection. I have been able to find places online that can supply stamped VIN locations for Mustangs and Cougars but I have not found this for Torino/Ranchero. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a partial VIN on a tag beneath both front fenders on both front fender aprons.  Fenders have to be removed to find them and again... they are located on both sides.
