Nice to see a '72 Torino wagon get some screen time.  They were great looking station wagons.  That said, I'd prefer a Big Block to a diesel....

That was a disappointing episode. They made it all about the diesel engine which became the entire project(failure and smoke, more etc). The trans was used and clearly not good to begin with, so the whole episode was sad. That's the kind of project or owner which destroys old cars, they get tossed in the end.

Yeah I was also disappointed by that episode. So much in that episode was a cobbled mess and calling that place a "diesel" shop is being generous. I've seen better stuff fab'd at scrapyards. That wagon and 6bt combo was like a drunk marriage in vegas, yeah it was fun for a few days but they're better off separate.

I liked roadkill when they were pulling cars out of the junkyard, fix them up in a few days, and then road tripping some foolishly long distance and breaking down on the side of the road. When they started doing this stuff, I got turned off.

That wagon sold by the way, a few years before the shows were all canceled and cars were liquidated. I have no idea where it went or if it's still together.

That's good to hear, that they sold it. There are a lot of precious parts on that car for any owner of a 72-76 wagon, and plenty that fit on all of the 72-79's. I have a wagon tailgate spring that I thought might come in handy if the Ranchero spring got weak. Keep-em going.

I haven't watched it yet, but from the sounds of it, I might pass.  I too like the original format like you mentioned, when it was just Freiberger and Finnegan.  I still watch some of Frieberger's stuff on YT and it's not bad.
