If you're near the west coast, Power Brake Exchange in Los Angeles rebuilt my '72 booster quickly and for a good price. They also called to let me know they found brake fluid inside it so I could make sure the master cylinder is taken care of and doesn't ruin the newly rebuilt booster.

Power brake booster exchange (it used to be called Dewey booster right?) did mine a few months ago for my 73. I think it was about $300. Customer service kept me in the loop on arrival, departure and fluid contamination.

Unfortunately the booster on this mid year Mercury cars
is unobtainable new or rebuilt off the shelf anywhere . So you have to send your original in for a rebuild. Fortunately winter is 5 months long where I live . Now if I could get the machine shop to even look at the engine I dropped of in March ā¦. š geez
