If you're near the west coast, Power Brake Exchange in Los Angeles rebuilt my '72 booster quickly and for a good price. They also called to let me know they found brake fluid inside it so I could make sure the master cylinder is taken care of and doesn't ruin the newly rebuilt booster.
1972 Gran Torino station wagon, light blue, 351C 2V, prior owner upgraded to 4V (2V heads), originally had a C4 but prior owner changed to C6 for some reason.

I’m in the upper Midwest, I figured I would be shipping this booster to one coast or the other .
I will give them a call .
Any other suggestions?

Power brake booster exchange (it used to be called Dewey booster right?) did mine a few months ago for my 73. I think it was about $300. Customer service kept me in the loop on arrival, departure and fluid contamination.

Unfortunately the booster on this mid year Mercury cars
is unobtainable new or rebuilt off the shelf anywhere . So you have to send your original in for a rebuild. Fortunately winter is 5 months long where I live . Now if I could get the machine shop
to even look at the engine I dropped of in March …. šŸ˜’ geez
