Hello all, my name is Christian Holloway and I prefer the name "Jack". I am about to turn 20 years of age and am an IT (FKA Radioman) in the USN.73CJ I recently bought a numbers matching 1973 Gran Torino Cobra Jet. There is a lot of work to do to make it roadworthy, so bet your bottom dollar I will be utilizing this forum a lot. The engine is complete but seized (brand new starter, distributor, alternator, plugs + wires are sitting in garage now) so I am going to have to go to a machine shop soon as engine + trans are sitting on the floor currently. The floors and trunk pan are non existent (I have learned that that is somewhat typical) and the engine bay is in pretty rough shape as the core support has rusted away. All is not lost however, the frame is in remarkable condition. As far as exterior body panels no/little work is required. The main tasks are to get a floor in it and get the engine going and do brakes brake/gas lines.

Welcome Jack, this is a great place to share the experience of rebuilding a classic old Ford, and to rebuild an engine if you need to.
