Ok fella's what brand of ring and pinion do you all recommend for a car that has a slightly built 351W with a 4 speed in it? I have dealt with Richmond before and I have seen Mosier Eng. gears out of Indiana.  I just wanted some opinions on the matter if anyone has had good or bad experience with these or any others that you may recommend. Thanks,Scott

Try to buy Motorcraft gears, they are the top quality choice. Others are harder to set up and more often make noise.

Try to buy a set of used gears, OEM used gears that are not hurt are almost as good as new, and at half the cost typically. Shoot for around $75 for used gears.

What ratio are you aiming for? Without an overdrive, I'd stay under about 3.70:1, say 3.50 or less. I have 4.11's now, but plan to go back to 3.50's at least with an overdrive trans.

I used Yukon Gears from http://www.ringpinion.com/. Very helpful staff! Haven't tried the new ring & pinion yet... car is still under construction.

X2^^, I have a good friend that owns a 4x4 shop(has helped me many times), he told me he has had very good results with using Yukon gearsets.

Yeah, It's a Hybrid...It burns gas and tires.

Used OEM gears are fine as long as they're in good shape.
